Dog Behaviour
Understanding Canine Body Language
Dogs communicate primarily through body language. A wagging tail doesn't always mean a happy dog—it simply means arousal or excitement, which can sometimes precede aggression or fear.
Pay attention to ear placement, tension in the face, lip licking, and weight distribution. A dog leaning away with pinned ears is asking for space. Respecting these signals prevents escalation and builds trust between you and your dog.
